Art Market

In 1998, Karin Shammah and Paola Wilhelm formed the P/K Group. In 2004, the exhibition “Art Market” took place at the Eclectic Gallery and later, under the curation of Patricia Rizzo, at the industrial space Zona en proyecto.

The entire work was done by both members together.

The concept of the exhibition was that of a “fair”, which demystifies and desolemnizes the art work, while questioning its commercialization, the formal gallery, and the idea of originality.

An exhibition that sought the complicity of the “spectator”, inviting them to touch, play, intervene.

Every artist should fight the great battle that is constantly fought between universal man and individual man.
Subjectivity being swept away (…) there are no longer artists in particular but art. Therefore, sacrifice the personal and put all of one’s faith at the service of this ideal.
